View Full Version : Midlands Meet . . . . . .
Hi all,
Paul & I are in the first stages of planning a meet down here in the Midlands, Just done part of the route tonite and had a ball, 22 miles of mixed roads out and about the Leicestershire and Warwickshire countryside .. We both are going to get our heads together to add a few more miles to it and a suitable watering hole to finish on.
It's gonna be a good Idea to find the numbers of cars/bods that are going to attend so we can sort a meeting/finishing point big enough (Mr optomistic here !!) So who's up for it then ??
watch this space ...
Kev.

OK folks ....
Paul (Walker) and me have just done the whole route tonite and it's brill !!!! just under 50 miles. I've put a page on my site that's the place to find the latest info ..
I'll be there, to love and comfort you.
Glad to see the Wax Wizard will be there - I am looking forward to seeing the stuff in action. In fact, if he needs a demonstration vehicle, I'm sure I could be persuaded to let him use mine :-)

Kev & Walker,
I'd would love to come to this meet, but there is a slight problem some other SIDC members might encounter. The SIDC / Porsche Club summer meeting is on that day and I will be attending it.
Presumably your date is now fixed in which case I will obviously not be able to attend both. Please confirm if this is the case. If so, you have my apologies for not being able to attend (I love to come) http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/frown.gif
Maybe next time eh?

OK this is it.
Midlands Meet/ Drive
Sunnday 11th June
Meet at Tamworth Services at 10-00 am
Detailed route to be handed out on the morning of the event.
The route includes very `entertaining` roads finishing off at a very nice watering hole where they serve excellent meals.
Tamworth Granada Services can be found at J10 M42. There is only one service area there, it is located on the island at the M42,so come off at junction 10 and you will see it signposted. The A5 also crosses over this island.
Lets hope for as many cars as possible, please post on this thread so that myself and Kev have an idea on numbers(so that we know how many route sheets to print off), see you all there!
Paul
Neil Reay 13 May 2000, 08:57 Count me in.
Mike, will you be the first to 1000 posts? It must be worth a bottle of shampagne.
Neil.
