It's idiot question time again.....

I need to replace the bleed valve on the top of the radiator and it appears to have snapped and just swivels in place.

How do I do this? I imagine i turn off the valve at the bottom left and also turn the thermostat on the right to off then put a load of towels on the floor?

Anything else?

More questions about boilers and pumps later :thumb:

If you turn off both valves, you can usually get away with removal of a bleed valve without too much spillage.

Plenty of cloths, and turn back the carpet if it's pale coloured as any spillage will be black and it's BOUND to escape the towels if you don't!

Remember PTFE tape on the threads of the new bleed valve.
