I've had a new combi install fitted 2 months ago.

It's a Worcester 24i combi boiler. I've come home today and the warning light is flashing once per second. This is the second time it's happened. It says in the manual to hold the button down for 5 seconds to reset the system. I've done that and it doesn't fix the problem (It did the last time)

I don't know whats wrong with it, but when you reset you're supposed to here a noise which I think is like the pilot light lighting. I don't know if it's got a pilot light or not, but that's what it sounds like. This is not happening and the system resets and the light flashes again.

I've tried to phone the company who installed the heating. They're closed and left an emergency plumbers number. I've called that a few times, but guess what ? There is no answer !

It's supposed to be snowing up here tonight and I've only got single pane glazing. I could really do with some heating. Does anyone have any ideas how to fix the heater ?

cheers

Try going onto the Worcester website and download the installation instructions which will have a flow chart in the back for fault diagnosis.

Thanks for your reply

I've got the manual, it was left when they finished. All it says on the back is to hold the reset button for 5 seconds to reset it.

This doesn't work.

I've just had a look at the fault diagnosis and there is 15 possible faults for that flashing light, you are going to have to get an enginneer out, is it still under warranty...2 years standard and 3 years if the installer is a BI member.
