They have the biggest car park I have ever seen for a PUB.... Dan Danny Fisher 05 September 2001, 10:50 Directions are easy. From M25, Junc. 6. head south. At the first roundabout turn left (Westerham) Go thought Oxted, then past a golf course (both sides of the road). Then about 5-10 mins after coming off the M25 on the left hand side is the pub. Its a rather largish place, you shouldn't miss it. Dan Mkhan 05 September 2001, 11:10 Yeah I should be there Andy Tang 05 September 2001, 11:43 Here you go, maps!! http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif This one is from the M25 to Newland's Corner: http://www.ventric.co.uk/andytang/images/maps/m25-newlands.jpg From the M25, come off at junction 10. Head southbound towards Guildford on the A3. The first junction is for Ripley, come off there. Take the 2nd exit on the roundabout towards Ripley. About 2 miles down, is a Shell petrol station (Burnt Common) on the left hand side, take left at that roundabout. You are now on the A247, follow that down. You'll come to a set of lights at a main crossroad. Go striaght over, and as you near Newlands Corner, there will be big brown signs pointing the way! Here's a map to the pub from the M25: http://www.ventric.co.uk/andytang/images/maps/grasshopper.jpg Sorry the map is a bit wide, but I thought you'd rather have a bit more detail, than a rough guess! Anyway, I doubt I'll be there as I'll be heading back from a heavy weekend in Newquay! http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif Have a good one Andy chuckster 05 September 2001, 11:53 Thanks, see you guys at the pub! (I've been there before now I come to think of it, just wasn't sure it was the same place) Chuck KimA 05 September 2001, 15:35 We'll be there - may just catch up with you all at the Grasshopper though - will post later http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif Jay m A 05 September 2001, 17:40 See you peeps there Justin http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif LoFi 05 September 2001, 18:44 Hey, never been to a meet b4, but as I've had my MY01 for under a week and I live in Oxted (had my wedding reception at the Grasshopper) I think it would be rude not to come along - so hopefully see you there. DrEvil 05 September 2001, 19:13 Excellent! See you all then.. again sorry for the late announcement, forgot what time of the month it was... moving house has thrown me completely! Alex Scott W 05 September 2001, 19:37 Bu66er! I'm in Blackpool http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/frown.gif Oh well maybe next month... DrEvil 06 September 2001, 00:38 Its been brought to my attention that this clashes with Watford meet, we could go up there if you all prefer? Could I have a show of hands for those that want to meet at Newlands and head up to Watford way? If ALL the people that have already posted to come to this meet vote to go to watford then so be it. Otherwise, we will remain with the original plan of Newlands then the Grasshopper. Cheers, Alex chuckster 06 September 2001, 14:03 I also only just realised they clashed. I can do either to be honest, will go with whatever the Surrey meet decides to do. Bear in mind the Watford meet starts early/finishes early.. Chuck Danny Fisher 06 September 2001, 14:53 Depending on the location and time I finish work Sunday morning. I might pop along. Dan Adam M 06 September 2001, 14:59 Alex, if you lot dont decide to come to us, then perhaps it is worth suggesting we come to you. I will put a post on the other thread, but if not careful, this could become one of those let the other decide and then make no progress. DrEvil 06 September 2001, 15:01 I would just like to re-iterate, if anyone that has already agreed to go, does not like the watford idea, the original plan of newlands and the grasshopper will stand, as I don't want to mess up anyones weekend. Rgds, Alex Mkhan 06 September 2001, 15:13 I am meeting up with DR Evil http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif Mkhan 06 September 2001, 15:35 Newlands for me m8 KimA 06 September 2001, 15:36 Alex, Would prefer to meet you guys at the Grasshopper for 1430/1500 - can't do anything earlier on Sunday - see what the majority are up for. Kim & Dom http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif DrEvil 06 September 2001, 17:06 Right, Newlands then onto the Grasshopper it is! So Andy T's maps above show you were to meet, times remain the same (see my first post). Dom - I've got a couple of new bits on my car (again) http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif See you all Sunday, sorry for the confusion, just thought I'd check. Alex DominicA 06 September 2001, 20:00 Alex, and what new ickle bitty bits would these be then?? Go faster stuff or looksie better stuff?? http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif DrEvil 06 September 2001, 23:49 Well.. It would put some more run-in miles on the car though. DrEvil 07 September 2001, 09:50 LoFi - you wouldn't be mad, hope to see you at Newlands. Rgds,Alex WR Blue WRX Jay m A 07 September 2001, 13:11 Lofi, you'd be mad not to.. http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif Justin |
