OK. Someone has pointed out a cool looking hotel to me (thanks Kim). It's about a 10 min cab ride (we can use their minibus) to Hanley town Centre for the pubs Saturday night (thanks ChrisB!) and we can get our Alton Tower tickets in advance so we don't have to queue in the morning - fab-o!
