PS for those interested the hire car went to a 1,000 feet up on several goat tracks and when we reached the top it was the only 2 wheel drive car to have made it to the special stage. I got flashed by speed camara's once and I also got done by a nasty spannish policman for fraffic violation (150) Euro fine (Naughty boy should not lie to the Police)
had a great time managed to do three stages a day. WRC Rally cataluna worth a trip if you can. Avoid if you can Silver metallic Reno Megane turbo diesel, Hertz hire car.

Actually John I think everyone should buy a Megane turbo diesel because if it's managed to cope with the abuse you would have given it and survived then the said car must be built like a tank:D:p.

John, spent way too much mate.... you've not heard the 'Rover' saga have you.......
The good news is though... sorting the 'map' in my car will only cost the dyno time..... £90hr at powerstation..... 2 hrs they reckon.....

Ron so what's beeen happening to the car since we last met, Ive only been to powerstation for suspension work, however they are very good at mapping I here, let us know how long it takes to get there. What's going on with Roger the Rover then.

John, i went to a rolling road thing at Interpro in Bristol for a power run, my car made 287bhp at a lowly 53?? revs, which is really low, and the power dipped off at that point and the guy reckoned it was down to fuelling, so, pump on the way, and more than likely getting the map tweaked sometime....

Rover.... where do i start... well, i wanted a better one than the one i had, so i found one on ebay in bath, drove up there and bought it, mum drove it home. two days later i swapped the ins over from the old car, and the day after that i drove to trents for something, they didn't have it so i headed for Avon forest autos.... bit, the cambelt snapped in Ferndown, and detroyed the engine.. doh!! So, the engine from the old car (which i had agreed to sell) was removed and put in the new car...... than, a week later, an engine popped up on ebay, so, off to Birmingham to get it.... got it home and stripped it down and decoked it and ground the valves in etc, new cambelt (obviously) pulleys, and oil seals etc,.... then remove the engine once again, and replace it with the one from birmingham, which was lower mileage and a good motor, that now geos very well, then, replaced the engine in the old car so i can now sell it again...... what a saga, my hands are still not clean after all that oily crap....

Hello Ron,as it took the cheque 2 weeks to clear,this side of xmas would be nice,but I'm sure(fingers crossed)that it will happen before the next meet if I can get a map session at Inter Pro.Isn't it lovely these dark Winter nights with f*ck all on telly roll on the summer!!!!!

Drove past this place on saturday and found that it's a good 45mins away from me,so it will all depend if I finish on time at work(that will be a first) if I can make it.Failing that I could alway's borrow an Evo and get there in a couple of mins:D.

Dean, i wondered if you'd 'get' the comment, very large shopping centre, closed due to car park issues.....

No worries about not makin the meet, very good turn out.... plenty from Hants too..!!

I did see on the local news about a car park being shut but didn't know the name of the place.We went to Poole on saturday shopping(I know how to live when I get a day off:D)I hadn't been there shopping for 10 years and won't be going again for another 10 years either:D.
I must admit the Horton Inn meet is a closer drive for me on these winter night's,roll on summer!
