Sod's law!

Totally excited about getting one of these and no one seems to have any in stock :(

any ideas?

tried
microglobe
digitaldepot
warehouseexpress
jessops
kingsley photographic on TCR

ok, not exhaustive, but i am at work and can't spend *all* day on the phone lol

there's quite a few on ebay, but i'm a little reluctant to part with money, esp if a broken lens turns up from HK or the like

How soon do you need 1. Cos these guys were recommended to me http://www.onestop-digital.com/catalog/index.php

Based in HK though, but stuff usulayy turns up in under 14 days though.

i really don't like the idea of broken stuff being delivered from abroad.

if it's in the uk, i can take a day off, drive up there and wring someone's neck.

I can afford this lens, but i can't afford to waste the dosh, i would have to pursue until i got a replacement and/or my money back :(

Know what you mean. The only thing I can think of is buy a photo mag and ring all the advertisers in there. Looks like you might be looking for Hens teeth though.

They were hard to come by for months (I tried), starting to come from HK now on ebay.
Amazon are quoting a couple of weeks tho so you might have a bit of a wait...
:(

You tried Purdy's or Grays of westminster?

I actually wanted a white one too, but I got mine for £650 (back) SH but hardly used so couldn't say no.....It's a great lens you'll really enjoy it.

OK but no tongue.
Weeeell... maybe a little...!
:D

Lucky beggar!
I looked for weeks and ended up going for the 80-400, if the 70-200 is 25% as good, you'll have a winner.

The only downside with the white one is that people will think you've got a canon!!!
