Can anybody turn up?

I'm not an SIDC member as I don't own a Scooby (I just read the BBS cause it's good fun!), however I have got a WRC GT4 which I'd like to bring along if I'm allowed.

Who do I ask?

Ross.

Looks like I'll be there too for sure now http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif

Hope my dinged door doesn't upset any of the concours fiends...

RBT2:
Well, my interpretation is that Bentley is open for normal business on Sunday, thus anyone can come along (someone correct me if I'm wrong).

The SIDC/Porker membership thing is just to get a nice private parking space, rather than having to have one's car mingle with Fords, VW's, BMW's, WRC GT4's http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif and other assorted road junk (elitest or what!!!)

Seriously though. I don't see why you can't come along, if I did not have the scooby and was still in my ST24 I'd still be coming to drool at the cars (scoobs or porkers? I'm not telling http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif)

So, unless the heavy mob says you can't come then I'll see you there (Mine's a black WRX Wagon, hopefully the only one http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif)

Hi Markus !!

Looks like i'll be coming down on my own for a few hours.

I would like to meet up in T/W in the morning at some point! What time do you suggest?

Is anyone else going from Sidcup? - if so then we could drive down to Tunbridge Wells to meet up first!

Any Takers?

James, and others, here is a proposal for you:

Proposed meeting place in Tunbridge Wells is Sainsbury's car park in Linden Park Road.

Proposed Meeting time is 9:45 am, to leave for Bentley at 10:00 am. Should take aprox 30 mins to get to Bentley at a lesuirely pace.

Map URL below.

Markus, Sainsburys in T.Wells is a bit of a pig to find if you don't know the area that well...

There is a good spot in Tonbridge though, just off the A21, big pub carpark, just after the last exit of the dual section of the A21, might be easier?

We (Richard Dawe and I) arranged a meet there about a year ago when I was still a Kentish Lad, or should that be lad of Kent...

Any thoughts?

Markus

hmm, that means I'd have to get out of bed even earlier! Plus it means I'd have to travel over to Tonbridge and then back again, which is a pain.

I do know where you mean though, It's the Vauxhall Inn, and there is a travel-lodge type place there as well.

I'd still prefer TW though

I should have also have mentioned that if we do meet up in Sainsbury's car park then it should be on the right hand side as you turn in (near the Spa Valley Railway) ie; the side with Homebase on it.

Andy

Markus would never be able to make it all the way to Tonbridge for that time in the morning,he's such a lazy a**e but never faer, sainsburys is near!!! http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gifPlus the traffic is horrible, and we have to pass sainsburys to get to Bentley.
The weather is not supposed to be good for Sunday,so yuo'd all best remember your macs(rainmacs)
I will have Markus up at the crack of dawn to walk the dog before we go out,so he will at least make it on time to sainsburys http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif

Markus and James that's what I meant to suggest http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/redface.gif

Meet in Tonbridge from about 9, leave there about 9.30 and then go on to meet up in T.Wells by about 10...

What do you all think?

Traffic should be OK on Sunday, and the back lanes are fun http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif

DOH forgot, will have new disks and will have to be gentle http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/rolleyes.gif

Markus

James, et al.

I'll be waiting in Sainsbury's car park for you between 9:30 and 9:45 for a 10:00 leave.

James - buzz me on the mobile when you get in TW or near Sainsburys to check if I'm there or not. If I'm there then I should see a convoy of scoobs come haring in http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif

see you sunday

Andy , James what time Mc'D's???

JAMES BUSHELL
09 June 2000, 08:35
I think we should all aim to be there by 9am!

It should take about 1/2 hour to get to T/W on a sunday morning.

Shall we say 9 then at McD's

James

Right.

Final preps for the pre-meet.

I'll be at Sainsbury's car park (at the Homebase/Spa Valley Railway end) between 9:30 and 9:45, for a hopeful 10 am kick off to Bentley.

See you there.

PS - Let's kick some porker butt!

PPS - Gonna play devils advocate and suggest that we drive at a nice pace, simply as I would have thought that plod would be well out in force if they know there is a porsche, and even more so with a scooby and porsche meet.

I’m a bit confused as to where you want to meet??

I’ll be leaving form Sidcup with a few others at 9am.

Route M25 > A21 > onto A26 > Tun – Wells! Is your meeting point on the way?

I’ll be at work until 5pm tonight!

Mail direct if you like on james.bushell@brewin.co.uk

Thanks

James

If anyone does want to meet in Tonbridge first mail me direct, and I'll sort out directions to the Vauxhall Inn.

James, I've dropped you a mail...

I'll see you guys there - coming from the opposite direction - haven't had my SIDC membership pack through yet though - perhaps they've twigged I drive a Legacy and not an Impreza

For those coming down the A21 and wanting to find the Vauxhall Inn, here's a link to see a map of where it is.

Markus

right, I'm just about to leave the office for the weekend.
If all goes well I'll see you all on Sunday.

Tim W
10 June 2000, 10:24
Markus, you know tour way around streetmap far too well... http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif

So is anyone going to doing the Vauxhall Inn first? Or are you all happy about the location of Sainsburys in TW?

If no body is coming to Vauxhall that's fine by me, TW direct is quicker for me anyway, I was trying to be too bl**dy helpful...again... http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/rolleyes.gif
