Those who took part might realise the irony of the title! http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif Has anyone else tried to get twenty eager scoobs in an unbroken snake from London to Brighton in fog??

Thanks a million Kris for organising it. The route was excellent - so I'm told http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/redface.gif

Hey, we got there in the end, didn't we?

I'm a sad git and had to pull out early, but seriously look forward to the next one. Meanwhile I'm off to look for a sticker that says "Don't follow me, I'm lost too" http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif

Great to meet you all

Cheers Kris for the fast pace to Brighton http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif
Some great twisty roads, pity about the traffic from Brighton to Hastings!

To the driver of the silver S reg (sorry, forgot your name already) - remember the tight right hander http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/eek.gif

Lost you all when we done the 'U-turn' beside that fella's drive - his face was a picture.

Hope to see you all again soon.

So, sounds like someone got a little lost then http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif

I was awoken at 7:45 am by SuzyQ saying 'we going to brighton or not?' seeing as I'd not expected to be 'allowed' to go i'd said, to james 9Bushell) that I'd prob not make it. As such i got to brighton at around 9am, thus you'd prob all gone by then, also as i'd not expected to go and the Dreamcast was on loan last night I could not lookup the details of where the Cafe was. SuzyQ then suggested that we pop along to hastings (of course i said we should go to hastings,it was a lovely day,and it's a great drive, don't know what you mean by traffic though - SuzyQ) --- what the!!! I leave teroom to say goodnight to the kids and she's hijacked mybloomin message, well it is her dreamcast. Anyway, where was I, oh yes, we decided to drive from Brighton to Hastings. It was a nce drive and I see what you mean about the fog, I thought I'd end up in brigadoon! Got to hastings to have some donuts, but no sgn of any scoobies, so we headed off back to TW.

Hopefully I'll make it next time. So when is the next one due thenKris??

BTW - how many of you will be going to Bentley Motor and wildfould mesuem on the 22nd? june (at least i think that is the date) I there is no other southern meet until then I'll prob see you there.

better go, SuzyQ's itching to do some surfing.

Hi Guys,

Thanks Kris.

Although my presence was short and sweet from Rye to Brenzett via Camber the run was brilliant.

Hope you all had fun when you did the camber loop the second time!

Catch you all again sometime!

Paul Mc - I was the driver of the silver S-reg. I was having great fun in the morning, I'm really pleased with my new tyres (Continental's) as they let go so progressively you get a lot of feedback.

The afternoon I was trying a little too hard to keep up when the Supra's joined. Did something stupid - so I took it easier after that.

Does anyone know when the next driving course is. I don't know the name of it - but a lot of people seem to go on it. I think its run by a police driver instructor. I think I need to go on it.

Hi All

WHAT A FANTASTIC DRIVE! (even though I split my windsreen!)

Great turnout, Good route, - fast A roads, twisty B roads it was all there and as for the sounds – well! (windows open and enjoy!)

The fun ended for me at Brighton, where I had to go on my way. BUT! camber, etc will be visited next time without fail!

Kris

Maybe next time we should aim to leave earlier, poss. 7am or so? That way we can miss what little traffic there was!

Looking forward in anticipation to the next one !!!!

Andrei; pozhalsta! I was also amused by the old lady! Her hubby wasn't smiling quite so much though - so I gave him a wave and he looked quite taken aback! "Young people of today, blah blah...."

Markus, SuzyQ; bit optimistic, weren't you? I'm not sure what warp factor Mr Sulu (AKA Kris) used to get to Brighton, but our little trio (And Then There Were Three) didn't arrive at the cafe until gone 10am, and the convoy didn't leave for Rye until well after 11 - despite poor Andrei under peer pressure to inhale his food without swallowing!

BTW, if you're in TW and ever go to Bedgebury to walk Maggie, you might bump into ours - we're in Flimwell!

Sounds like you all had a good run on Sunday. So how many of you tried to get a slide going on the Winchelsea Hairpin ???

Sorry, I didn't make it but I had some urgent family health problems crop up, so that took up most of my weekend.

What's this rumour I hear about 'BENTLEY WILDFOWL AND MOTOR MUSEUM' on June 22nd.

I was thinking of paying the place a visit this year anyway, so I would be up for a meet there if it's going ahead.

Cheers.

Brendan:
Maggie is now allowed out, and has preceede to wear herself out this weekend. I will sugges to SuzyQ and the girls that we take maggie for a walk at Bedgebury, only prob is that I'd have to turn off on the bypass http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/frown.gif
Might see you there.

Anyway, I did wonder how long it'd take you guys to get from Bromley to Brighton. I figured that I was late, turns out I was wrong, oh well, I;ll get it right next time.

Scott.T:
Winchelsea hairpin! jeez, I took that the 'other way' ie; going to brighton, last week. I took one look and thought 'sh** the car's gonna bottom out!' but it didn't, thank god.

Anyway, If you're a SIDC member then take a peek at the May 2000 issue of True Grip, there is a bit on the meet at the Bentley musem, in assoc with a porsche club.

I was actually going to go there on Saturday as we'd run out of places to take the kiddies, did not though I'm planning to have a look round before June, possibly next week.

Kris - Many thanks for organising!

Brendan - Cheers mate for getting us to Brighton after all. Nice roads http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif That old lady running out of her house and wondering about a traffic jam was quite funny http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif

All - thanks for waiting for me and letting me finish my breakfast. Unfortunately as some pessimists http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif suggested I did get lost again shortly after leaving Brighton http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/frown.gif Bugger... But every cloud has its silver lining - my wife was very happy to see me return home early http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif

Great day and lotsa' fun anyway!!!

Just to say that we had a great day - big thanks to Kris for organising this - even if I got stuck in second gear whilst overtaking - dodgy move

Got home, had a couple(?) of drinks, fell asleep in the hammock - heaven!

Can't wait to do it all again.

Wow, what a day!

Thanks a lot Kris, it was superb, and you're a nutter!

I looked oper the pics last night, not so great, but one rather nice one taken in the woods
whilst driving. I will send them to you James, as soon as I can work out how to get them onto
the network at work.

James & TJO, what happened to you guys in the last leg? You turned up at the petrol station
quite late. Was there a little miss-hap back there?

I'm trying to talk my friend with the EVO5 into coming next time, so please Kris, arrange
another!

Imran - we followed after to you. When we reached the roundabout we stopped and decided to head back to the M20, thinking you had gone the other way. Little did we know as we pulled in to the Total Garage that you were there too.

I`m so glad everyone enjoyed themselves. We thought it was a top day all round. Ah so JAMES it was you who wanted a ford logo on the front of your scoob!!!!

Next one is already being talked about watch this space. Maybe an even earlier meeting time will be better.

Thanks everyone for turning up, the smile still hasnt left my face yet

Thanks Kris

What a day, that's the best fun I have had with my Scooby since I got it and those Camber Roads http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/tongue.gif what a rush. Unfortunately I too ended up with a split windscreen.. oh well it was worth it.

Subarussian, I told you that you would get lost as soon as we left the cafe!!

Imran, I was holding up your rear on those Camber Roads until I scared the crap out of myself...ABS....Thank God....When I met up with James and he told me how his Scooby nearly became part of a Ford..we decide to hang back...

James I gather you didn't get a knock from the old bill about driving on the wrong side of the road....see I told you that they didn't clock your plate.

I must say hello to Paul Mc.....see you at the next one mate.

Kris thanks again for a great day, please please please lets do it again sooooon.

I'll have Imran's pictures up on my site this weekend - as soon as I get home. I'll mail in when they're up. If anyone has some more (and they're scanned in) then if you want I can put them up too.

So Kris when is the next one being organised for?
