Hello all, good to be back again! http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif
Myself and Happy are organising a meet for all us scooby owners that live in and around Swindon. http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif
The planned venue is the Churchill pub just off junction 16 of the M4 and the date in mind is the 14th of May, though this is probably flexible depending on the response we get. That was the date we thought of before the bbs disappeared anyway! http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif
It would be great to meet all of the people we see driving around the area, so put it in your dairies and hopefully see you there.
More details to follow
Cheers
Iain.

Feel free to e-mail me or post here http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif

Hi Iain
If nothing else comes up I'll probably come along, I'd like to meet a few other owners, I've only had my car 6 weeks and haven't met that many yet.

Hi RON
that'd be great, you're coming from Dorset if I remember correctly?
Nice easy journey up the A350 with some nice stretches (traffic permitting!) http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif
I know what you mean, had mine about the same length of time and am keen for my first 'meet' http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif
Hopefully see you there
Cheers
Iain.

I know there are quite a few scoobies about Swindon, if you know them and they aren't on the bbs then please tell them!

I have marked up my calender for this meet.
You Swindon lads missed a good time thrashing the cars across Exmoor today.
The breakfast was good also. (Thanks Nick my turn next) The Ice Creams tasted like S**t but the seagulls loved um.
See you all soon

Iain.
Is the gatering still going ahead, and if so what time did you have in mind, if heard about a vintage 'fly in' at Thruxton on that weekend, so I might combine the two.
Let me know what time
Cheers Ron

Ron
yes it's still happening,I hadn't forgotten, just been a bit busy http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif the plan is to meet at 11am at the pub, then afterwards drive out through some of the nice open roads through Wroughton and beyond. I'm sorting out all the final details with HAPPY this weekend and will post them asap.
Look forward to seeing you
Cheers
Iain.

Right the final details are as follows: meet at the 'Churchill House' pub at 11am, it's just off Junction 16 of the M4. It's very easy to find, just follow the signs for Wootton Bassett and after about 3/4 of a mile you'll come accross a mini roundabout, keep following the signs for W.B (bear right) and the pub is just there on the right hand side. See you all there! http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif
Cheers
Iain.
p.s if anyone else is coming from other directions than the motorway then feel free to e-mail me for directions, but basically it's just the opposite,i.e; leaving W.B for the M4! http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif
Hope thats clear http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif

Thanks for a good day. Always nice to meet fellow subaru owners.

The guy with the P1 had obviously come out for a quiet drink and didn't really want to join in did he? Perhaps that wasn't his wife?

Managed to avoid the policeman with hairdryer lurking in a gateway on the A361 on the way home.

Slight sunburn to my right arm though.

See you all at the next meet

Cheers guys, a big thanks to all those who turned up, especially those who came far afield. http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif
I have downloaded the pictures of the meet, but not being a computer whizz kid don't know how to post them here. So if you want some you'll have to e-mail unless I find out how to do it first. http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif
Couldn't believe it when the P1 turned up!
Your right tho Ian I think he was more interested in his company than half a dozen sunburnt drooling maniacs http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif
Thanks again http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif
Cheers
Iain.

There is a way to display pictures on here but the pictures have to be on a website already. Its probably easier to just put a link to your website here. I could put them up on my site
