Dear All,
Any of you who wish to come to the above are more than welcome. Would love to meet some more of you and put faces to names etc. We are planning on meeting at "The Crossways" a pub located at Scole (A140) half way between Norwich and Ipswich on Tuesday 8th February 7.30 onwards. Please add your name if you are coming, to encourage as many peeps as possible.
Thanks

Hmm... Can't come in the turbo shed. Will I be chastised if I turn up in my horrid little Porker?

Mark,
All petrol-heads are welcome.... Doesn't matter what car you come in, as long as you show some enthusiasm!

Hopefully make it aswell. (from Gt Blakenham)

Are we going to try a Mini Ipswich convoy. We could start from Beacon Hill for a quick blast up the A140 ?

All

Will also be coming-up. Dean, myself and Robski (plus TFG (Jason) from Essex) planning to meet at Tesco's and head-up, so could quite easily meet you at Beacon Hill.

Mark - will be good to see you again.

Look forward to it - shall e-mail you guys during the week to arrange times, etc.

Anybody know how far up the A140 Scole is?

Cheers

Neil "TFW" Oxborrow

P.S. Mike, maybe bringing a couple of Cossie boys from Ipswich - might be past their bedtime though!

You'll find Scole about 20/25 miles North of Ipswich...

dsmith,
A 'quick' blast...
Up the A140... Mmmm...
A truly horrible road- single carriageway / lots of junctions c/w HGVs, farm traffic...

Be careful out there!

Darren,

OK so "a quick blast" may be a bit hopeful on a more than likely wet, windy, weekday evening. - Have to make the most of the first two miles of dual carriageway. The HGV's and Farm vehicles are just about OK as they usually have some form of dim light on. Its the large piles of greasy mud they leave behind that cause the 'interesting' moments. I used to do Charsfield to Bury via the B1078 (&A14). That was full of interesting vehicles. The tractors with nice wide ploughs are a good way of concentrating the mind as they charge towards you......

Dear All
Those of us who are coming from Ipswich - I think we should meet at Tesco's Copdock at 6.30pm-ish, aiming to leave at 6.45pm.
When you get there, try to park in the first bays so we can save time rather than driving round the car park trying to find each other. There will be me (Red 4 door), a friend from work in her Bright Yellow Pontiac Firebird and hopefully two Cossie peeps (Sierra & Escort).
Post if you think this is O.K. (Hope you can make it Dean). Also post what you intend to be in so we can look out for each other.
Jason (TFG) - Follow A12 to Copdock roundabout at Ipswich, straight over, left at 2nd roundabout and left at third into Tesco's car park. E-mail if you are still coming. I would allow about 45mins bearing in mind traffic and roadworks at Boreham.
Hope this plan is O.K.
Look forward to seeing you on Tuesday.
Cheers
Neil "TFW" Oxborrow

Neil,

Doubt I can make it for 6.45 (state of the railways !!) so don't wait.

I'll either watch for you on the A14/A140 Junction or catch up at the Pub (Red 4Dr with Scooby Doo mats !)

(If the Dealer has finished with it I may be in a friends TVR Chimera on which I'm insured for the week whilst its at Kerridges...Have to drive it home today from the city and deliver it there tommorrow - Ah its a tough life)

Regards
Dean

Neil thanks for advise on MPG, will think about the upgrade. You'll be pleased to know I got a whole 22.5 MPG out of the last 50 ltr.

Mike
I have to say that Charlies' and your car did look great, especially the flames http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif There are so many roppy old cossies out there it was nice to see some good ones. Maybe next time I won't be so much of a TFP and have a ride in one.
Thanks again to yourself and Neil for organising it.
