Took off electric window motor, and found spring in bottom of door afterwards. Which way round does it go - are there any schematic diagrams anywhere for the window mechanism - any links would be much appreciated.

This is drivers side by the way. Has anyone any experience of fitting back the motor - is it best with the window up or down, and which way round does the bloody spring go - I reckon you have to be a gaenocologist to get it back on, so to put it back together to find it's the wrong way round is too much to take.

Look at the passenger side

 

Looked at passenger side, but without dismantling, couldn't see spring, and thought one window not working was better than two.
All better now, sussed out how to put back together. Anyone stuck in the future - give me an e-mail and I can sort you out.
