I don't think anyone of us likes the new my01 headlights. They look kinda, well, made for a Kia Pride or whatever. So i took some paint and plastic and made a low-budget mod.

 

It's an improvement......

I thought I would be able to corner the market with replacement headlights - obviously not

I think that it will still be a guaranteed after-market seller tho'

 

Actually, I think Ive seen a different picture of a new shape scooby with slightly different headlights. Its a black car and the lights came in towards the grill, hence I dont think there was the triangular piece of plastic between the headlight and grill. Anyhow it actually looked quite good - sort of mean looking - much more Imprezza.

I'll see if I can find it.

Finnally people are getting their heads around the problem. The new Impreza has ugly round headlights, and they need to be modified. Everyone get your photoshop engines ready and get to work. In fact lets hold a design competition choose a version and contract someone to do the physical design work!

 

That picture is on my web site, maybe you saw it there? I got is from Autocar who always get it wrong. I would have bought it if it had been this shape but Im just not interested in the my01 shape at all. I've decided to get an MX5 as a second car (an old cheap one) and basically just keep the scooby until you've all written yours off by which time it will be a classic and worth loads of wonga!

 

I heard a rumour that the UK/Europe model has got 'pop-up' headlights .................................................. ...................................... and the bonnet scoop drops down into the bonnet at night when you turn off the engine!!!

Please Subaru pinch me and tell me its all a bad dream!!

The new Impreza will be shown at the Birmingham Motorshow in about a month. I guess Subaru will show us more before or around that time.

 

Well, Subaru in Japan offers, as an accessory, air intakes to replace the bit of plastic between the lights and the grill.
Soon, I guess some Japanese companies will start to offer foglamps/driving lamps which can be fitted into that space.

 

Apparently, so the rumour goes, Subaru have called in some European styling expert to make some last minute changes before it goes on sale over here.

Rumour was in Autocar so probably wrong!

 

I think it makes it look like the car has eyelids. I couldn't help thinking it should be in Bob the Builder!
