View Full Version : Beds RSOC Track Day ......BOOK NOW Steve-Barrett 11 September 2005, 11:05 SOLD OUT..... Cheers for your support and see you in Feb:luxhello: Benno 20 September 2005, 14:42 Guys I went to this trackday last year and it was absolutely awesome. Bedford is a great circuit with wide grassy runoff's and very little armco which makes it great for beginners and trackday virgins (me last year :D). The day was professionally run and as Steve said the track never reached the max of 50 cars so i drove straight on everytime for a total of about 3 hours track time (could have had more if I wanted). I thoroughly recommend it for anyone wanting to do a trackday. My cheque is already in the post. Benno Steve-Barrett 21 September 2005, 11:31 Got you cheque Ben :thumb: Ritch96 30 September 2005, 09:12 Steve, Well up for this mate but out in middle east at the moment, I can get the missus to send you a cheque but just wanted to make sure that there are still some slots? Can we sort out passenger passes on day or do you need the lot now? Cheers Ritchie. Steve-Barrett 30 September 2005, 18:00 We still have plenty of track spaces left, you will need to buy a passenger pass in advance, we are unable to take any money on the day and the numbers in the pits are limited. cheers Steve MAFFA 01 October 2005, 11:27 What's the db limits at Bedford? MAFFA steve sti-7 01 October 2005, 16:25 I'm interested, will send a cheque later today. thanks steve Ritch96 04 October 2005, 11:50 Cheque in post today for me, car and a passenger pass. Cheers Ritchie. Steve-Barrett 06 October 2005, 11:46 Ritch96, received your cheque, cheers The db limits are 101 static 87 drive-by. alloy 06 October 2005, 11:58 does anyone know where i could go to get a db reading on my motor. Would really like to get to a track day but have a sincere feeling i'm louder than that at full throttle! I'm in the london area by the way Benno 06 October 2005, 19:01 I think I remember reading somewhere that you can go up to the track ahead of time and they will noise test you. Otherwise post in 'General' with the spec/mods of your car and I am sure you will be able to get a rough idea. If all that fails or you think you might be over, I have a standard backbox for a classic I am trying to get rid of and i live in NW London. :D Benno peterpeter 09 October 2005, 20:58 what is the bedford rsoc??? sounds like amazing value... Its it just for scoobs??? GemmaRS 10 October 2005, 18:49 The Bedford RSOC is a group of the main RS Owners Club, last year we decide to hold a track day for our members, we also opened it to all cars as it is great value and so many others wanted to come along. So basically, all are welcome. If you have any queries, just ask. Gemma Beds RSOC Secretary, Track day Organiser!!! Steve-Barrett 10 October 2005, 19:31 Just to let anyone know who will be sending chqs over the next week or 2 that we will be out of the country from 17th - 24th Oct so will not be replying to any emails etc etc Simon C 10 October 2005, 23:21 Do you allow spectators? I live fairly close, and I'd love to come and watch and or take pics :D Simon Steve-Barrett 11 October 2005, 08:08 Spectator passes are on sale at £5 each. MAFFA 11 October 2005, 08:25 Mine's well louder than that DB limit :( You'd think though with the majority of the exhausts on the market nowadays that DB limits might be a bit more...well...flexible? MAFFA jpmason33 11 October 2005, 10:43 Not trying to hijack the thread but I have a Digital Sound meter that i could measure peoples DB with (although it should be used a guide only as you get about +/- 2 db with different equipment). Would just expect a drink for the effort. I am based in London (Wimbledon area) if anyone is interested drop me a PM J Benno 13 October 2005, 11:07 Good mix of cars last year and drivers of all abilities. A few scoobs, bmw's, focus's, a ferrari, porsche GT2, MX-5 and a MK1 track prepped escort to name a few. The Porsche was driven by someone who knew exactly what he was doing. He went past me like I was standing still :D Benno Floyd 13 October 2005, 21:56 And an Orange Metro  F GemmaRS 03 November 2005, 10:07 just to let you know that the spectator passes are £5 per car not per person. kechup 10 November 2005, 11:14 this is my birthday ... what a great present ill be posting a cheque but first a couple of questions .... 1) as a trackday 'virgin' do i need a garage ? i guess thats for the wheel, oil, brake changes etc.... so is it ok just to turn up and drive as i arrive ? 2) Is there an 'area' for passengers additional drivers to wait with food+drinks etc... 3) Is there fuel on site ? 4) Is this just for scoobys ? thanks for the help and see you all in Feb Floyd 12 November 2005, 21:17 Kechup, 1) No, you don't need one, just drive. 2) Yes. 3) Yes but its pricey  - fill up in Bedford. 4) RSOC means FOOORRRRDDDDDD's not Subarus but we will be there to make up numbers ;) F Steve-Barrett 13 November 2005, 18:14 Cheers Floyd for answering for me.....
