View Full Version : Everybody is a football expert
STi wanna Subaru 08 September 2005, 09:04 Well it looks that way! :D
another reason I can't stand following the England team. All the people at work who don;t have a clue about the game are suddenly experts. :cuckoo:
eClaire 08 September 2005, 09:21 Not really. I don't expect we will even qualify :)
Everybody thinks that though; we are **** - you don't have to be an expert to observe that :)
davegtt 08 September 2005, 09:30 Problem is half of the people are looking at the players fielded last night when its not their fault.... if you play a world class squad out of position with stupid tactics, you'll get nowhere. last nights formation is not how you attack a team who was quite evidently putting 10 men behind the ball and getting stuck in.....
CrisPDuk 09 September 2005, 18:28 Half of me i hoping that we do fail to qualify, then at least the gutless tw@ts at the FA will have to bin Eriksson:mad:
eldudereno 10 September 2005, 08:15 Changing the formation happens far too often these days. In my opinion you should retain the same formation game after game and give the opposition something to think about instead of being far too concerned about what they might do to you.
scooboro 10 September 2005, 09:09  FOUR, FOUR, TWO......P.S. SACK SOUNESS GIVE SVEN THE JOB, I`M SURE HE WILL DO A FANTASTIC JOB UP THERE IN SKUNK LAND..
G-STAR 10 September 2005, 13:04 I don't think that it's fair to place all the blame on Sven. Granted he got it wrong (formation wise), but I think that players have to also shoulder the responsibility.
In recent games, especially against Denmark & Northern Ireland, there's been a distinct lack of passion within the squad. I can't remember the last time Gerrard and Lampard made a vast impression on an international match, as they do week in, week out in the Premiership. I agree that the team isn't built around them as it is at their respective clubs, but the desire that drives them in the Premiership simply isn't there.
I'm no expert, but I'm entitled to my opinion, as is everyone else. :)
Redkop 10 September 2005, 15:20 Gerrard and Lampard are too similar type players and one or t'other should only be played IMO. Also, Sven should stop the long ball tactics and let Gerrard and /or Lampard get forward more and attack.

Who would you have playing Lynne?
richiewong 10 September 2005, 18:29 No expert but would to say that Premiership 'referee's' tend to be female gentile parts with questionable parentage and enjoy a spot of Onanism:mad:

I thought your post was going to say "EXCEPT SOUNESS" :)
Redkop 10 September 2005, 23:37 Who would you have playing Lynne? Being biased of course, I would say Gerrard ;) but don't deny that Lampard is a good player, altho he is not as fast or as good going forward. Possibly I would have Lampard for the home games and Gerrard on the away legs.

Biased? Nah :D
Redkop 11 September 2005, 18:48 I thought that was a very 'unbiased' reply for me actually. :D:D:D
