Since the Impreza does not appear to have a passenger kill switch, what are you supposed to do with a rear facing child seat in the front?

Is it possible to remove a fuse for example and render the airbag defunct?

I'd like to know the answer too.
Come on somebody must know.

Short of actually removing the entire unit and dropping it from the top floor of a multi-storey building (in the interests of scientific experiment of course!) I don't think it can be deactivated.....

Maybe after the next time I plant my scoob in a hedge I wont bother to get the airbag reset!

Got a great photo, not sure how to post it though.

Thanks for the link.

If I have done it properly here they are.
I had spent all weekend polishing it too!
I do not appear anywhere in the photos, they are just amused by-standers.

I think it can be done, spoke to an auto spark about this previously. IIRC it involves disconnecting the seatbelt tensioner connection under the passenger seat then placing a resistor across the terminals to simulate the airbag still being connected.
