I wondered if it is possible to service the pump on the C/H boiler ? The last time I ran it I had to give it a thump to make it spring into life and wondered if it is a seviceable item. It is over 20 years old but has worked perfectly, so far !
Cheers

if the pump is sat for a while then they do sometimes need a tap to get them going again as sediment settles inside + restricts them from turning. not really a servicable part - if it is knackered and its 20yrs old then get a new one (grundfos probably the best)
Its not possible to service a domestic c/h pump. Depending, just swap the actual pump head.
Thanks, that info makes the next decision easier.
