Default World Marathon Helsinki

What a great victory for Paula Radcliff to win the World Championship marathon at Helsinki with a games record and by over a minute from the previous World Champion. Her time was faster than the men's victor in the previous world championships held in Helsinki.

It is worth mentioning that so far we have only won one other medal in the World Athletic Championships, a bronze for the relay.

It would be good if those who were so quick to criticise her so unpleasantly and even nastily after the Athens race were big enough to acknowledge her outstanding success.

Lets also not forget David Weir and his 2 golds in the Wheelchair 1 and 200 Metres that don't count in the medals tables.
