View Full Version : 5th August - Harewood Hill Climb
I'm planning on going to Harewood Hill Climb on Sunday 5th August 2001.
All the usual suspects will be present, along with the Ferrari boys as well (I think).
Thought I'd post this and see if anyone else fancies joining me...get a few cars together...park in the same place...make a bit of a show of it???
If we get enough I'll have a word with the organisers and see if we can get a seperate parking area...
Anyway, if anyone is interested....add a reply.
Cheers
Tom

AndrewC 19 July 2001, 00:54 I get back from hols on the Saturday, depending on how k***kered I feel, I may come along, can't commit though, Harewood is always good for a http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif especially when it's a bit greasy (the road not the Burgers - they're always greasy http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif)

millband 20 July 2001, 00:35 Sounds fun. How much is it? Do you just turn up to watch or do you need tickets in advance?
Cheers,
Steve
chiark 20 July 2001, 09:41 Yeah, count me in. Wife seems to think that it would be as much fun as food poisoning, but I'll persuade her somehow.
"Just think of the money I'll spend if you're not there to control me" http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif
I'll probably tip up!
Can I put the fezzie in with the scoobs?
Bob
Basically just roll up and pay on the gate...not sure how much it is....probably a little more than five quid....but less than a tenner!!! http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif
Its a great day...especially if its a little wet under foot!!
Would be good to have a few Scoobs present...even if we're not taking part!!!
More details in a wee while

Michelle Speed 24 July 2001, 17:32 This is the first time I have looked at this site and was quite pleased to see something happening locally! Is it possible to come to the Harewood Hill Climb & spectate - I have never been to any of the events yet as I am a recent convert!

I'm sure you will get a dozen offers to introduce you to the gang.
Just don't accept them. http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif
I have it pencilled in the diary but can't be certain I'll make it. But I'm sure you will enjoy the day and maybe the company.

Michelle,
Harewood Hill Climb costs circa £5-10 to get in to spectate.
Its a fun morning/afternoon/day...basically I thought I'd mention it to a few people...get some of the Yorkshire folk out of bed early to meet up and have a natter...the added advantage is that we can then have a good look at the various cars running on the hill and equally see them (in some cases) making a mess of the actual run...
Its a tarmac course for competitors only...we will be just watching (other than Black Scooby who is running his Peugeot that weekend)...
Come along and have a good day out...
If you want to discuss it further feel free to drop me an email...or equally email any of the above.
Look forward to seeing you on 5th
Tom
David_Wallis 24 July 2001, 23:42 Will try and get there.. wont be in scooby.. so going to convince some friends that they might want to come to.. .(a lift!)

Stitch 25 July 2001, 09:21 What time is everyone planning to meet up at Harewood?
Hope you don't mind if I tag along. I've only had my MY01 WRX for @ 5 weeks so this will be my first event.
Hi Rum*
Let me know the time /place to meet and we'll do the long drive to Harewood http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/rolleyes.gif
banshi 25 July 2001, 22:24 Stitch:
Dont see any difficulty with only owning the Scoob for 5 weeks.........it's the modle that causes a problem http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif
MichelleWRX1994 26 July 2001, 15:39 Hi Michelle,
This is going to get confusing!!!! Welcome to the group, ignore the blokes they don't know what they are on about half the time. http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif
So what Impreza have you got then or looking for?
I cannot make this one as I am going to be working nights, if I wake up I will be there if not, next time (as usual)
See you soon,
Michelle (aka Little Miss WRX)
MichelleWRX1994 26 July 2001, 15:47 Mellow, with the fake P1 http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif
Haven't had much banter lately about your apparent ability to drive, we seem to have more pitched th eabuse Banshi's way http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif
I fancy meeting up on the services, depending on what time, to prove to you that you've bought a modded sport in my lowly WRX http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif
Hehe
See you there hopefully http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif
Michelle.
banshi 26 July 2001, 16:21 Hey Michelle don't start throwing down your gauntlets.
After all the other Non-performance enhancing mods he's been throwing money at e.g gauges, cages, extingushers and dials.
He has just added an RS badge.
MichelleWRX1994 26 July 2001, 16:30 Lost about 30bhp IMHO (and that's just sitting in it http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/tongue.gif )
