Default Mondeo Electric Seat problem

Can anyone help me on this? The wife's mondeo has an electric front drivers seat that simply goes up or down. It has now got stuck in the "up" position and won't come down.

You can still hear the motor whirring if you press the button so its not that or the fuse that ahs gone. I suspect it has simply "come off the end" of the runner. Do you reckon that this is a diy job to unbolt the the seat or will it have to go to the garage?

The wife doesn't mind too much but I have to bend my neck and if the suns shining the sun visor block out the number plate of the car in front!!!

Have a look at the forums over on www.fordmondeo.org. They will no doubt be able to help.

The mondeo site seems to have crashed under the weight of my post...

If anyone on here can help in the meantime?
