Cleaning Alloy Wheels
Ok, my dad has a 2.5 V6 Omega, and has just bought some alloy wheels for it. The wheels are in good condition, however they have something on them which has made the wheels go a pale shade of gold, when they should be silver.
Anyone recommend a good alloy wheel cleaning product that could get them back to silver again?
Cheers in advance,
Matt

Gold wheels look crap, don't they?
Oops

Cleaning alloy wheels is very much like making love to a beautiful woman .... first make sure they're good and wet. Then brush lovingly to remove dust, salt and dirt and any stubborn deposits, especially from the little crevices and around the valves. Rinse thoroughly, making sure you don't gunge up the calipers ...
But seriously, as Andy Timmins says, a very mild cutting polish like Autoglym might well do it.
