Ok, changed the speakers.in my MY05 sti
Using the MDF spacer method.
Thankyou very much for the excellent threads and FAQ photos.
Happier with the sound, but now have decided that the headunit needs swapping too.
If I just go for a straight swap using ISO leads, for say a sony 7700,
will I notice much difference? or will i be disappointed?
Or should I go for an alpine with built in amp? Do i need to power the amp separately, or will it also be a straight swap? Thinking about one of the Ipod compatible ones.
Or, is it worth going for one of those dvdjobbies with the swivel out screen?
Is it also worth going for a subwoofer in the boot at the same time?
or are these a pain in the arse to power?
Are there any scoobynet users in north kent with decent systems??,
Are there any ice shops in this area, or private fitters anyone would recommend.?
Would consider paying someone to fit it, if I bought all the bits, and they had done a decent job on their own scoob.?
