my side lights are jammed on, please help! (classic)

Hi,

my side lights are on, the stalk is set to off position.... V odd, no other lights on = dash is lighting off..

Tried turning all lights on and off, anyone had this happen, can't think of anything else to do but pull the fuse out.....

any useful ideas?

ah, i had knocked the button on top of the steering column, didn't even know i had one there, that switches your parking lights on and off

funny thing is though,a garage was gonna fail mine on MOT cuz the side-lights stayed on . . only when i told them what it was did they then fail me on illegal no. plates. bastids.
60 mile round trip just to sticky pad me OK 1s on
