Simple one this..... how tight should you do up the bolts that connect the arm to the mounting plates?
As tight as it'll go, or leave them loose(ish) to allow movement?
Thanks.

Usually the suspension struts are torqued to about 14/15ftlbs so I would go for this with a brace insitu as well. Might be different on a newage:confused:

Thanks Richie
It's this bolt I'm unsure about...

The more preload (less movement) the better. The brace is meant to stiffen up that area, you do not want a loss part.

The slot is there to make it fit your strut tops as OE manufacturing is not as an exact science as you think..
It needs to be tight if you want it to do it's job...

Thanks chaps.
Brace is on, and tightened up..... Tight!
To be honest the OEM nuts on the struts were not that tight when I took them off.
The bolt/nut holding the bar to the 'pink' mounting plates is as tight as a mate and I could get it. I'll check the tightness again once I've done a few miles tomorrow.
Got to say it looks out of place in my dirty engine bay, but gives me something else to polish ;)
Thanks again. J.

Nathan
I've got to keep one step ahead with the 'Bling'. There's just too many 'Blinging Back Boxes' around for my liking these days :D
Just wait till Buzz gets me a newage scoop splitter.... I'll have it polished to within an inch of it's life!

Dont matter how tight you do it up the bolt supplied is a ****e fit anyway at least 5 mill thinner so its going to move anyway, unless of course you do the job correctly....
