why arent the big manufactures, honda, kwak suzuki producing tv adverts for bikes in the same way that the car manufactures do? i know there a huge cost involved and perhaps for the smaller compans i could understand but why arent BMW advertising and honda. how cool would it be to see decent tv adverts being put out for blades etc? suerly they would also increase the awareness of bikes on the road, the only tv advert at the mo with a bike is is the very hard hitting THINK one with the guy slamming into the car? very good advert indeed and hopefull making alot more car users aware of their potentially fatal "didnt see you mate style of driving. is it illegel EU etc to advertise bikes?

Lots of Bike adverts on Eurosport, especially during Motogp etc. Can only assume the cost isnt worth it on the big channels. The adverts usually seem very much designed for the European mkt though.

Probably because bike adverts would be too likely to upset the lentil munchers.

I imagine it would be quite difficult to do a decent bike advert that wasn't seen by the "speed kills" lobby to glorify speed in some way.
