Any use one of these? I'm thinking about getting one for my K4 Gixxer 600 ?

It's supposed remove the 1st/2nd/3rd gear restrictions that suzuki 'Engineer' in for emmisions etc, makes the bike smoother ???

any thoughts

We have had this discussion many times over on GixerCrew (http://www.gixercrew.co.uk/) and we always get differnet opinions... They work for some people and for others they make no difference.

I personally ran one on my K2 600 and it made a noticeable improvement to the low down revs, made low speed town riding much smoother. Only reason I removed it was I had a power commander fitted so it became redundant.

Don't spend the £60 + that some people charge. Get one from HERE (http://www.jsdproducts.com/Product_Info/JSD-1A/jsd-1a.html) $30 and it uses all OE connectors... If it works then great, if it doesn't then you can easily sell it on Ebay ( one of those things that always sells.. )

I have one on my k1, i noticed a difference as soon as i revved the bike after fitting, and even more so when i went for a spin. Anyone not getting results must have plugged it into the wrong place!
The only thing i miss is the rev limiter making the revs flutter when im doing burnouts!
I purchased mine from ebay for around £20!

Get (or make!) a "smart" TRE, some over fuel the engine in the lower gears and under fuel in 6th

Some of them replace the maps for 1st,2nd,3rd,4th and 6th gears for just one map..5th...So in any other gear you havent an ideal fueling...but the engine will rev right out in the lower gears

200mph.org is also another good source of info

hi if you look at this site and do a search you will find lots of info
www.sv1000.zyns.com the gear position sensor only works on a variable voltage as its sent through different resistors to tell the ecu which gear its in and which map to run any way have a look on the site cheers Rick
