Soon to be available on behalf of a local customer sadly moving away from Subaru we will shortly be advertizing a STI 5 Type R in cool grey.

This car is in superb condition and benefits from having a brand new engine installed recently (supplied by API engines)

how'd you work that out? my mate has got a type R thats meant to be on a T but they put it on a S!! to be honest if they were both 99 cars i'd prefer one V reg instead of S, i've seen some X regs about and even a 51 plate so thats the sort i'm after.

S til end of Feb, T from march til end of August and V from sept 99

You are right about later ones being out there my brother had a Gran Blue Mica Type R on a Y (March 2001) for a while.

a bit expensive in my opinion, yes its got a new engine but still think it should be cheaper

As far as I remember this isn't right.. the registration system went from 1st September to 31st August until the Y reg..

The fact that its had a new engine (or whatever) is totally irrelevant to the price (well maybe it would reduce the price?)

We need to be talking up the prices for second hand cars!! and I'd be all for that

What someone gets in the end will be entirely driven my market forces.......... and not customer expectations

Your quite right, the price of a car entirely depends on supply and demand, there isn't a model report for these at the moment which means they are quite rare and that pushes up the price. There are some who have always wanted to buy a type R, and may be willing to pay top money.

However if you are not that keen on one then you won't.

Thats life.
