This version 5 modified WRX RA Vltd was imported by us in June 2003 with just 42,000 miles, hand picked by our agent in Japan. Finished in Sonic Blue featuring 555 seats and 17" GOLD Alloys. This car was auction grade 4.5 which is the highest level for this age of car. Supplied fitted with a front mounted intercooler, BLITZ dump valve and coil over suspension. This suspension has been tuned to perfection, not too hard like some, which we proved when visiting Japfest last year. Well, no one passed us anyway!
The next Scooby trip organised by the SIDC to Powerstation proved its perfromance with 298 BHP recorded on their Dyno, beating the 3
STI Type Rs on the day by 5 BHP, even more interesting was that one of the
cars had been re-mapped by Bob Rawle.
The RA runs a larger turbo than most imprezas, this means some turbo lag at low revs but huge grunt from 4,000 revs upwards.
The decision was then made to sell the car and move on to a New Age STI,
a new owner soon became interested, the only problem being he lives in the
USA and has some business interests here, he wanted the car to travel with a
group of Porsche owners to the Nurburgring and Spa! The car was perfect for this use and he ran it successfully until the engine blew on a recent track
day. Autosportiv (Group N Subaru supplier) were chosen for the rebuild they overhauled the engine and fitted a tuftrified crank ( a known week spot). He has also replaced some gearbox synchro's and clutch. The RA is a Version 5 car which means it can be re-mapped using the ECUTEK system, after purchasing a licence from ECUTEK it can be used many times cutting the cost of subsequent re-maps if you carry out more mods. (By the way the first ordered New Age STI sunk off the coast of Singapore, and second was stolen from Bristol docks)
The car is very quick, modified but not outrageous, the suspension is firm
but not a back killer, and it handles superb on road or track.

The engine has just been run - in, now the modifications need to be set up by a top tuner to get the best from the car. This car will be arriving soon, so be very quick, not many like this stil in one piece.
