i have bilstein coilovers on my 95 V-LTD (put on by previous owner) they are set really low and seem to creak and squeek all the time!!!!! can you get them serviced or something to quieten them down???

try spraying the bushes and any rubber bits with wd40 or similar. coilovers can be quite noisy.

Peachy a common trick to quieten coilovers is to give them a damn good clean (as the springs clog with Sh1te being so close to the damper housing) & then to cut up a bicycle inner tube & place between the top spring & bottom i.e where it rests/contacts on the shocker, This can cut the noise down a lot especially on the fronts where the springs can clang & creak whilst turning.

WD40 can swell some rubber bushes, which will make them worse! Use correct rubber lube!

thanks guys! i drove to my parents today along quite a rough road and i could hear so much noise from the suspension......but my dad who was out front at the time said he didn't hear a thing!!!! so maybe the noise is going through the car???
