Hi

Greenstuff are not recommended by EBC Technical for use on Impreza Turbo's.
They recommend using the Redstuff Ceramic compound for this model.

You have PM.

some of us only do short runs, so that doesn't give the pads enough time to get up to opperating temp.

Hi

Sorry you do not feel I have answered your question.

We are advised best by EBC what pads suit what cars. We pass this information onto our customers. As stated, EBC recommend using Ceramics for your model. Ceramics, braking when cold is rated as "Good+".

If you are only doing short runs and your car's engine is up to normal operating temperature, then the pads (Ceramic's) will be warm enough to perform.

Despite this recommendation, we still have had some customers specifically requesting Greenstuff compound pads for their Impreza Turbo's. None of these customers have ever come back to us complaining about the performance of the pad.

Greens and Reds are a performance upgrade over EBC's standard pad.

However, we just will not knowingly sell Front standard pads for an Imperza Turbo. What happens if one day you decide to use more of the cars performance then normal?

Regards

Buck

Question re: discounting, if I enter my requirements (front & rear discs, front & rear pads) the web site tells me I qualify for a special offer of free delivery and 10% discount, entering the promo code "scooby58" doesn't take off another 15%, it seems to replace the existing discount?

Could you confirm the discounts as the promo code only seems to get me effectively a 5% discount? If that is the case, have seen much better prices on line on a like for like basis.

Hi

I am afraid the "offer" of most benefit superceeds other offers. So "scooby58" is not added to any other offer, it is 15% off RRP + PF48 shipping.

i have used the balck stuff ones before, (went though about 3 sets) and found them suted my needs just fine (apart from the dust!!!!!) . i was paying about 30 pounds for them, can you beat that?

the current ones i use are standard replacements from a company called Allied Nippon and they are great too, suite my needs and stop me from well over 3 figures easily.

IMO EBC 'Ceramics' dont last long a fraction of the lifespan of OE pads.

The EBC Redstuff Ceramics, at least in John Felstead's opinion, seemed to be lasting well.

Webmaster: Why was my post edited?? Is it not a competitve open marketplace anymore? Do we not want our fellow ScoobyNetters to get the best deals possible?

Bob'5

Please be aware that this specific forum is not for comments like that, just as the FOR SALE forums do not allow users to make comments about peoples pricing etc. This forum is similar to the FOR SALE forums in that it allows sale threads albeit commercial ones, so the same rules apply.

I hope this helps to clear up any misuderstanding in the use of this forum.

Just to clarify, the forum rules have now been amended to make this clear within the sticky on this forum.

Regards,
Shaun.

just as a rough guide i have gone through 2 sets in 10k miles and i now need some more!

But....

They are very good only problem is you tend to use them harder than you would do normally hence 3 lots of pads in under 15k miles

Thumbs up

Ordered Front and rears for MY04 WR1 - received within 2 days, so much better than the over-priced and over-rated brembo pads.

Very happy with service and price.
