Are there any particular trackers/alarms that insurers favour, and will get you a bigger discount?

I went on line to Privilege Insurance to get a quote and only pro-active ones are listed in a drop-down list. I phoned them to check as I only have a 'Navtrak Standard' system and the girl went off line for some time to check with an underwriter but she eventually came back on the line and said it would be OK - maybe as mine is a standard UK WRX. However, my guess is that they might be a bit stricter with anything non-standard, more powerful or expensive such as an STI or WR1. Jen_M 08 April 2005, 18:34 All down to age and where you live. Some specify what you must have before they will insure you. Some will not insure you at all Some will say one thing on the phone and when the paperwork comes through it will say another - you have to check this very carefully when you get it. Jen |
