1 Steaua/Villarreal v Alkmaar
2 CSKA Moskow v Auxerre
3 Newcastle v Sporting
4 Austria Vienna v Parma

1 Winner Q-F 4 v Winner Q-F 2
2 Winner Q-F 3 v Winner Q-F 1

Final - Winner S-F 2 v S-F 1

Not the easiest of draws for us, I think the biggest disadvantage that could work against us is that we play 1st leg home in Quarters & Semis if we make it through.

Sporting certainly aren't a team to fear though, they are a very patient team, good technical ability going forward, but always suspect defensivley. And Ricardo makes more mistakes than Bramble ever used to :lol1: Boro were unlucky not to beat them last night, missed three good chances. And I think we'll have too much quality for them, more pressure on us to win the first leg though.

I've said for the last couple of rounds that there wasn't any team left in the competition that we couldn't beat over 2 legs, and I still believe it.

Yes, a tough draw, but I still think we'll go thro.

Good Luck Newcastle!!

Would have been BORO had we not had the kids left on the teamsheet!

Hope you win it ..... don't underestimate Sporting - they were cruising against us and had another gear to go up to!

we've played them twice this season, lost preseason and drew in the league stage so a win is next on the cards:D:D:D and no viana for them that might help a little, and we should have one or key players back from injury

mike:)
