Default Well Done KT Green Parts Dept.. NOT!

Despite buying my car from them and it IS on their computer as I manage to get parts from them before..

they wont even tell me if they have any phase 1 inlet manifold gaskets in.

I needed these today!...

If they could tell me if they have them then I could go down, and at least they would most likely recognise my face...

Typical this place goes to **** when the person you normally deal with isnt there..

Thankfully Howard @ HDC subaru has some if I want them!.

this "we need the chassis number" ****e is so annoying.. yes it would be annoying if I ordered the wrong part but that would be down to me..

if you ring up and ask for a phase 1 or a 1995 part then they should be able to tell you....

my local dealer wont even do anything parts wise unless you give them the chassis number, or they take it off the car itsself. they have it on record as they serviced it when i first got it !
i really thought all this crap stopped ages ago !!

this is what really pisses me off if u havent ever worked in a parts dept
then u would never no that with out a chassis number we cant get into the system
it doesnt take a scientist to look under ur bonnett and get ur chassis b4 u go to ur dealer its just as easy for u to do it,rather than slag the poor guy of for doing his job,

As per scoobyball, you can get the chassis number yourselves... the systems will not let you in without a chassis number, you can "build" the car without, but how do you know it is the correct part??? chassis number saves time! Although in fareness to all sounds like KT's could have looked it up as they had VIN no

I just picked up two rear struts for my wagon from KT Green this morning. I ordered them on Thursday, dealt with a very nice bloke on the phone and they used my chassis No. from when I had a replacement key made.

No complaints at all.

they are normally very good..

I can get a chassis number myself, EXCEPT when the car isnt with me and I need the gaskets that day..

And as for working in the parts dept.. If he got of his **** and walked two steps through the door, all gaskets are hung there.

AND...

ALL I ASKED, was 'Do You Have any Phase 1 Inlet manifold gaskets in - IE 92 -96 Impreza / Legacy turbo'

If they said yes.. Id have driven over and collected them..

Thank god for helpfull mechanics at KT Green

They just needed my Reg. No.

I can only guess that it wasn't a car they had dealt with before. Was that the case?
