Yep I was merely stating that although chiark found the unit at around the same price it was a reconditioned unit and as such I for one prolly wouldnt touch, therefore the price of leev's unit seems reasonable.

Seems a nice unit. I'm just working out whether I want to have a screen in the car now. Problem is that even with the faceplate off these things it still is obvious that it's a screen unit because of the hinges. The Kenwood and Alpine units are the same.

 

Yeah these units do stand out from the dash a little but to be honest i dont really notice as i have the screen out most of the time so i can choose tracks to play by just touching screen..

 

Reason I'm worried is security, nothing else . I don't want some smackhead putting my window thru because he knows there's a screen in there, so thinks that there's probably other stuff worth having too. If you see what I mean
