Question

I would like to get covers for the foglights on my 98 Scoob, preferably ones that could be painted the body colour. Anyone got any sources they could pass on?

Cheers,

David.

Hi David, try GGR and if it is an STi colour you can get them already colour coded!

Why not try Revolution Motorstore in Newcastle.

Cool

Revolution's number is 0191 477 0785, speak to Glen - covers should cost approx. £80.00.

Cool

David,

What colour is your car? I have a set of Sonic Blue covers (Genuine STI kit, stickers and all) kicking around somewhere...

Moray,

My motor's dark green metallic, so I could paint whatever I get hold of to suit. Basically wouldn't mind knowing if the covers mentioned by yourself and the other lads will fit onto the standard foglights? My aim is to make the car look less bug-eyed at the front (I don't like the huge saucer foglights), and as I'm not out and about an awful lot at night I can't be bothered spending circa. £250 for a proper set of driving lights with covers.

Cheers.

Question

David looks like your after the STI look, why not just take the lights off cease the electrics to the dissabled lamps and buy some STI blanking plates, they will fit although you won't have the bracket for securing the plate.

Thanks for the info guys. I've discovered you can get ones direct from Subaru for £25 in plain or £27 in a fetching carbon-fibre look. Haven't had time to pick them up yet, but sounds like they'll do the job nicely.

David

The ones from Subaru are simply clear plastic with a graphite edging so won't hide the fogs at all - will just prevent expensive damage. The Sti ones will blank them out, but as you mentioned I am not sure about fitting over the fogs ona UK car.

Thumbs up

Hi

I have a pair of PIAA covers that you can have.

I forgot about them when I traded my Subaru for the Supra.

Send me a mail if you are still interested: boxst@yahoo.com

Thanks for the offer, but I'll get the Subaru ones and give 'em a lick of paint to match the car.

Cheers.

Moray,

If you are up of selling the fog light covers, and if they fit over standard MY98 lights (rather than just blanking plates) then I'm interested.

Please mail me at evosix@evosix.f9.co.uk

Thanks
