That way posting pics and talking about taking pics is in one place. Or am I missing something here?

Members' Gallery is really for 'look at my new car/spoiler/paint/wheels/furry dice' type pictures - which would, I think you'd agree, soon overwhelm and break up any serious discussion on photography itself. It's really still a car forum.
The idea of having the SPF would be to keep threads on the topic together, to make it easier to search and see what questions have gone before, and to save the many SN shutterbugs from having to wade through pages of unrelated stuff. I think using Members' Gallery for this purpose would be a mistake.

You're not allowed to agree with anyone in NSR! The thread has to degenerate into abuse and name calling ;)

I'm a Canon user and I don't have to resort to putting people in boxes and name calling, now go back to your little Nikon mates and talk about the feel of your camera ya smug git!

Points well made...
Reverse Psychology works everytime ;) :D
Now if everyone RTM's this thread to the Webby he may read what a great idea it is to have a seperate forum for photography!

No need, Simon & Shaun are aware of the request and it's not been forgotten. Please have patience.
