Default Changing dash lights

Going to change my dash lights on my 98 Type R to blue. Had a search but didn't come back with much. Anyone done this before or has any handy hints.
Thanks

Had a look in Maplins and RS today...........Seems they can supply the same bulbs as the car currewntly has, but in BLUE, RED, YELLOW or ORANGE

Answer your question?

iv'e just tried this on my 99 model.
got the LED's from www.ultraleds.co.uk

need about 10 off theses "(286) Dash Board Slim wedge bulb Blue" £1.18 each
and 1 off these " (501) Blue Ultra Bright Frosted Bulb " £2

not sure of the result as it seems a bit to dark to see the clocks clearly, but mine wasent so bright with the standard bulbs.

Easy job, undo the 2 screws in top of cowling, remove. 3 more screws holding clocks in place, then tilt the clocks forward and pull off the 3 wiring loom clips on top of clocks, i just managed with a lot of fiddlin to get the clocks out of dash.

then there are two more bulbs in heater controls.
remove all the cowling andd the 4 screws securing the controls. try and clip the control cover off after removing the ***** etc. you can pull the bulbs gently with some pliers.

easy lol
