Default Are the conical tops in the group 4 kit to be discarded

Hi

I have a set of whiteline group 4 struts(1k4006). I have a MY 02 impreza WRX(RSA version)

I have installed them as follows

front - remove gold conical tops on group 4 struts and installed flat gold tops supplied with kit and then installed OEM strut tops. Slight knock on turning wheel. Wheel does not contact anywhere. 25 mm drop from standard. Discarded gold conical tops.

Rear - removed silver conical tops from group 4 struts and installed oem strut tops. OEM Conical seat (welded) on oem strut sits directly on spring. Discarded silver conical tops from group 4s. Knocking from rear strut tops. 15 mm drop in rear.

Smaller tender springs are at the bottom on all four struts.

Are the conical tops supplied with the kit to be discarded?

Is this correct?

Regards

Hello

Whiteline has replied to me. I apologise for the inconvience caused by posting in the other forums.. I had hoped that another whiteline user would have been able to reply over the weekend and I could correct the instalation.

I will post this as a response in the other forums.

I still have the tops. They were not thrown in the trash. It will be fixed today.

Whiteline has always responded timeously to all my requests. It is the reason I have ALL whiteline/MRT parts on my car.

Regards
