Tried the pressure washer but it lifted lumps off !!! the patio area is going to be extended and block paved next year but in the mean time the moss effect is bugging me !!

Can you use Jeyes fluid on a roof? Ours has loads of moss, and white guttering, which has just been done. Will Jeyes fluid mark the guttering?

I would have said so, jeyes fluid is brown when neat, and turns white when diluted. Try it on an off cut or hidden bit of guttering first. Its good stuff,When I have used it on paths I mix it in a watering can and sprinlke it on, leave it for a bit and give the area a scrub with a yard brush. do this twice and then rinse off with water. You might be at an advantage with it being a roof as all the fluid will go down the drains and not kill plants or harm pets, IIRC cats and jeyes dont mix!!

I would get rid of the bulk of the moss with a shovel and put it in the bin so you don't clag up your drains.

ps, it feckin stinks :D
