Default HKS Intercoolers

Hi.

A friend of mine wants to buy an HKS intercooler for his MY00. Where is the best place to get them (not necessarily UK)?

Cheers,

Paulo

having supplied/fitted various.................list in order of preference/ quality/ etc......

APS
HYBRID
HKS

considering that the Hybrid is around half of the others then its is very good value for money, only issue is the size of core in that you have to cut a lot out of the front bumper!!

think Harvey is running another group buy...........

Question

So you are saying that if i were to buy an HKS for say 600 or a hybrid at roughly 580 then the hybrid is still better????

no, what i was trying to say that value for money the Hybrid is a better quality kit....................must add that the fit of the HKS ones we've done doesn't seem anything exciting, no better (if not worse) than the cheaper kit...........

APS kits just fit!! no messing about.................

Nice one Alyn.

So far ive found:

HKS - kit no problem. GOod FMIC
Blitz - Better than the HKS as piping just is bigger all the way and no restrictions
APS - spot on - but a bit of a bugger to fit - if not fitted spot on, rattling

Hybrid - havent looked at yet but kits seem to be better and they are much cheaper than normal kits

I found i could get a 2nd in very good condition HKS from Japan for £450 which included shipping and customs, new were near £600....as with other Intercoolers....

However i have decided to buy the HYBRID, simply because of the fact that allot of people have it..and nothing but good reviews and the install is fully documented in the Projects, you couldnt really go wrong even if you tried..

I spoke to Blitz UK...they advised me that a Blitz FMIC kit is not avaliable for the GC8...wether that is true or no, thats what they told me...
