It depends on where you want to fit em
If you want them in the pocket on top of of the dash then yes you need a pod if you wqnt them free standing then no as they come with these as part of the kit
I have a defi II controller and centre pod for sale so all you need to do is get the gauges which will out to be about £280 for the 3 gauges you are talking about

So I take it I wont need to purchase any fitting kits then, right?

No, Defis come with everything you need: pod for one gauge, wiring, sender instructions (in Japanese!!!), gauge itself, and all fixings etc.

I have mine in a pod on top of the dash, bought from Scoobymania, and it replaces the daft trinket tray.

My controller is where there ought to be a cupholder, but there was just a blanking plate on my '98 car:(:

BTW: instructions in English on the Defi site.

Thanks Alcazar.

I managed to pick up a Greedy two gauge A Pillar Pod from Ebay for £18. What a bargain. Just have to wait for the gauges to arrive from hong kong.

May need block adaptor for oil pressure & sump adaptor for oil temp; depends where you install them.....

When I bought mine, they ALL 3 came with senders, same 3 as you're buying.

You will need an adaptor to put the oil temperature sender into the tapping above No3 cylinder, which is accepted as the best place for it, and you'll probably want a LONG 8mm Allen key to remove the plug from the tapping before screwing in the adaptor.
My adaptor was from Scoobymania, about £8.

My oil pressure sender replaces the OE oil pressure switch, which is redundant as it only comes on below 20psi, IIRC which is WAY too low. Defis have a programmable low oil pressure warning, mine being set at 30psi.

The boost gauge connects to the spare outlet on top of the inlet manifold, it's the one at front right, looking at the car from the front, and has a rubber cover over it.

IMO, the idea that Defis come without senders has grown up from the FACT that you can't use them without the control box.
