Question Internal seals 4-pot brake calipers

Hi,

Has anyone had any experience with replacing the seals inside the 4 pot caliper. The seals are used to seal the brake fluid galleries inside the caliper itself. They are only visible when the caliper is split in half. There is two of the flat o'ring type. Subaru don't supply these square o' rings separtely but want me to buy a whole new caliper . I have tried various o' rings suppliers but have had no luck because of the size. 12.5 mm OD, 8mm ID, 2 mm thickness. I am not buying a new caliper for the sake of a small o'ring!!. Last resort i thought was to ask on here.....

cheers gregg

Try Alyn at AS Performance. He has rebuilt a few people on heres calipers following the "you need new calipers" line from dealers. Very reasonably priced too.
