anybody see this? heard from the radio car near me the silver safety car rolled near the finish? (To be fair he came thru at a rate of knots(60-70mph), nearly taking out a whole load of people on a dead stage! horn blaring) all this before the course opener :eek: naughty naughty!!anybody get any pictures or video?

no not the 0 car i think it was a boggo disco(lots of body roll and poor driving) but with "FIA Safety" plates he came thru stage at speed before any of the course opening cars (000,00,0) came thru so effectively shouldnt have been there at all

Came past us on junction 19 like an idiot.

He should know that the speccies and marshals are likely to be refreshing themselves on stages run with only one and a half hours between them and drive though the stage with extreem caution.

Forgot to say, the car in the picture above is the flyng course car and is meant to go through the stages at close to rally speed.

It has been driven fantasticaly and and one of the highlights for this years rally.

That noise, is what a real car should sound like in the forrests. Not the bumblebee formular 1600.

Only problem was he didn't try hard enough in the super specials and didn't get enough television coverage.

absolutely!! those bowlers are beasts! very poor show by the safety car driver tho, lucky nobody was hurt . I`m not a moaner, but something should be done to make sure it doesnt happen again especially with the amount of people who were on the closed stage, kids, pushchairs and non rally types and so on lets hope the embarrassment teaches a lesson!

19 was that just after the crossing point and 90 right into long straight where it opened up?

Hi guys, Ive checked and been told that no safety cars rolled at all during the event - though I believe a marshals 4x4 did have an off at some point.

Did anyone here actually see it? Are you sure it was an event safety car?

was a fia safety car that went thru at silly speed then shortly after were informed that the same car had rolled just before the finish.

I think whoever informed you probably got confused but will chase up! What colour / make was it?

Radio car at juc 22 rhondda said he rolled at FF, I laughed and was a bit suprised because he nailed our juc, "downhill hairpin right",
