Not actually going to watch the rally but am planning a trip over the bridge to the Forest of Dean either Saturday or Sunday. Don't fancy sitting in jams on the M5 or M4 queuing for the tolls on either bridge.

Anyone been before and can say how bad it was (if at all)??

Fanx :)

Well, that all depends where you are coming from to get to the FoD :)

From Somerset area. Usual route is onto M4 westbound at Bath/Stroud junction then onto M48 and over old bridge for Chepstow. Alternatively could join M5 northbound at Weston junction and as before join M48 for old bridge.

Should be no problem - traffic is only bad around Cardiff and the stages themselves

watch out for speed cameras when entering the mother land there putting 18 extra vans and bikes to rake in some more cash :eek2:

If I were you I'd get to the forest of dean via Ross on Wye, down the M50, but that all depends which end of the forest your're going to.

Word of warning though (at risk of offending people), some parts of the forest are like something out of the film 'Deliverance', so watch out for the sound of duelling banjo's, and if you hear them run.... and don't look back!!!! :D

Good point - go up the M5 to Gloucester, then pop across to the Forest. Save yourself £4.60 bridge toll aswell.
