Hi,
I only have stage tickets for Margam 2 on Sunday, but will be travelling over early on Saturday (setting off 5:30am ish) to pick my tickets for Margam up from Cardiff with the intention of spending the rest of the day at Felindre.
Obviously, as I only have single stage tickets I can't book in advance for entry to Felindre - which is disappointing.
I read on the walesrallygb site (in several places!) that public parking at Felindre is "extremely limited".
Obviously, I'm going to be very disappointed if I travel all the way over from Stafford to find that I can't get in at Felindre.
Can someone give me some advice please...
Am I likely to be able to get in?
How restricted is the parking?
Is it possible to park nearby (safely and legally!) and walk to Felindre?
Should I just forget Felindre altogether and try to book tickets for a late Saturday forest stage?
Help!

Rich When you come off at J46 the service park is to the right but if you head to the left and go into llangyfelach B4489, there is plenty of side streets there. But you will have maybe a half mile walk back over the M4 and down the slip road to the service park!!

Out of all the years i've been to the Lombard/RAC/Wales rally GB last year was the 1st time i'd been to an actual service area! you should be ok in felindre if you get there a couple of hours before the first cars are due in, and if you want to watch the cars actually being worked on you should stand by your favourite manufacturers area about half an hour to 45 mins before the cars get there...I got there late last year and I hardly saw anything!! Unless you get there when the cars are due into service you shouldn't (touch wood) have too many problems parking in the designated area, as Carter X says the car park is more than adequate

Hi Rich,
I'm a local, but managed to turn up twice on Saturday last year with my 7 and 4 year old kids in tow, and parked within 100 yds of the entrance to Felindre Service are on two occasions, paying one £10.00 entry fee, and got in to see both Citroen and Subaru's teams service both cars both times.
I'd check entry is payable 'on the door', however, even if you decide not to go in, follow the signs for the local A&E hospital (approx 1 mile away) and you should find the competitor sarvice area entrance - time it right, and you'l get great views of all cars.
Enjoy, & 'Croeso i Gymru'

Thanks for all of this - it doesn't sound anywhere near as bad as I was beginning to think it would be! :)
Confidence restored - cheers!
