View Full Version : Shakedown - Do you get in with an event pass?

Just wondered before driving down at 5am whether or not I will need to shell out a further £35, having paid too much already for the event pass, to get into the shakedown on Thursday?

I'm really hoping the answer is no as it could be the final nail in the coffin for my future attendance. I did the Monte for less two years ago and if prices keep going up NZ might be a marginal call next year.

Thanks

i am afraid you will have to fork out £35 to watch the shakedown
because in wales a EVENT pass only means 3/4 of the event while all other rounds of the championship it means access to all stages i dont agree with it and if nothing changes this will be my last year

The shakedown isnt included in the event pass - you need a Thursday day pass to gain access to the shakedown. Its only accessable using the Park and Ride service - there are no other carparks apart from carpark Z at the service park.

Before you all go off on one, consider the reasons behind the shakedown not being included! The shakedown has a very limited capacity for spectators. It could not be included in the event pass because there are too many event passes sold to allow everyone with an event pass access to the shakedown.

Every carpark and spectator viewing area has a defined (and limited) capacity in terms of the numbers of spectators it can hold. Some are large (walters Arena, Superspecia etc) and some are small - shakedown being one of them.

i understand what you are saying paul
but it was included in last years wrp, so it might of been a good idea dont you think to have one event pass with the shakedown included and the other with the cardiff sss to give the paying public a bit more choice for the thursday
(i for one given the choice would of gone for the shakedown to save the long wait for busses coming out of the cardiff sss)

Craig,

Thats a very good idea - and one which will no doubt be discussed for the 2005 event. The WRP last year was sold with a limited number of tickets so there wasnt the issue as much.
