AndyC_772 12 September 2004, 20:10 http://www.mongolrally.co.uk/ Pedro_79 12 September 2004, 20:50 Well that certainly looks like an adventure! :cuckoo: Brother_Will 12 September 2004, 21:44 Ha ha looks fun, a little too cheap though. RoShamBo 13 September 2004, 08:38 www.rabbit-run.co.uk I expressed an interest this year & got the 2004 DVD of the event. Its a lot tamer than the Gumball. Ro. Gangsta Smurf 13 September 2004, 09:13 It costs £10,000 to enter the 2005 Gumball 3000 Rally!! Although they say you can have two in the car for that! so £5k each - and another £5k if you want to bring a back up crew - but they cannot stay in any of the hotels for that (the back up crew that is) Moley_WRX 13 September 2004, 11:34 There is the Cannonball Run Europe. Costs about £2500 to enter. 2004 event started yesterday. I think the website is www.cannonballruneurope.co.uk (http://www.cannonballruneurope.co.uk) or .com Gangsta Smurf 13 September 2004, 12:03 Thing about the Gumball 3000 is that you get accommodation and parties included in the price. All hotels are 5 star and the parties are mental. VIP access all areas passes are included for the Monaco GP also (2005 rally). For me £10,000 for a car of two is justified by the experience you will be getting. So much so that i'm doing the 2006 Gumball 3000!! :norty: :norty: :norty: CLANDER 13 September 2004, 13:10 There's also the Plymouth to Dakar rally, though the cars I think have to cost no more than £100...! freshtripe 22 September 2004, 07:54 My brother is co-organiser if this charity rally for cancer research: http://www.pr-photography-tour.org/ The guys organising this aren't "hooray henry's", just car nuts - got a 944, E28 Bimmer and FTO between them. Entry is about £2500, with all the money going to cancer research - how about sponsorship for a good cause? (ie. your scooby...) |
