:(

Please dont get caught out, they are in Sankey on the A57 Liverpool ----> Warrington road.

Specifically opposite the Woodies (Woodlands Hotel) In between the lights and the Chapel House pub.

I'm just making you aware because this is an accident blackspot ;) and you should be on your extra gaurd just in case there is an accident ;)

Mr Smiths is an accident blackspot

especially for the stupid braindead warrington drunk idiots who think it is great fun to stroll across the road at the pedestrian crossing when the lights are on green, as a car is coming towards them , whilst showing off to their mates, hoping that they will get splattered all over the front of a scoob

PS I saw the camera too Pete, I did mention it in the pub too, looks like they are gonna replace the slow down sign with a speed camera too, judging by the new road markings

Oh Great - I like to see how good my acceleration is with that slow down sign by stopping just before it and hoofing it past to see if it goes off :( :D:D

Yes mate, you're right, i've seen the huge pit for the post to go into. I reckon that it wont take long for that one to be "neutralised" seeing that it's in the direct walking line of 18 year olds coming home from the pub ;)

Sounds like a job for a JCB and a small amount of right foot on the pedal really :D

I'll start work on a fake Gatso now - perfect replica of the original that only takes photos of people doing under the speed limit, ;) :D:D:D

There's one on Mersey street too now (At the back of JB Leisure)
Nearly got caught by it last night as I saw it very late!!
It's on the opposite side of the road to where DFS is so it catches you heading into the centre!!
Tw@ts!!! I'm sure that's an accident blackspot down there!! NOT!

Actually that could be a good idea - but KEEP the GATSO!

If someone could get a master key for GATSOs, they could sneak along at night and open them to set the trigger speed to, say, 5mph! That way, every car would cause a flash, and very rapidly 400 useless photos would be taken of (99.9%) legal drivers which would have to be developed to determine their uselessness.

NO criminal damage, NO attempting to perverse the course of justice (indeed you would be increasing the detection rate), thus the perps could not be nicked for anything.

OK, not quite as satisfying as blowing them up - but equally effective ;)

Would it be a illegal to stand in the road with a big tin can on a length of rope whirling it around your head at 45mph. :)

You wouldnt actually be damaging the camera just taking lots of silly pictures...

Hmm, let's see: ALL of those sites are straight, wide roads with low speed limits. I guess these aren't really for revenue generation at all
