I brought this car to do the odd trackday in, she's in sound condition but is in need of a bit of TLC.

1990 'G' plate with 148K miles.
Taved and MOT'ed until April 2005.
4 x Yoko Advan tyres less than 3k miles ago.
Koni adjustable suspension all round.
Kent PT36 fast road cam fitted.
Peco big bore back box fitted 3 months ago.
Uprated grooved front brakes with new fast road pads.
Last serviced 2 months ago also had new starter motor and all hoses replaced.
Cam belt changed 1500 miles ago.
New clutch 10k miles ago

The body work is a bit tatty as the lacquer is peeling off the front wings and drivers door, the interior is in Ok condition.

This will make an excellent budget track day car or an ideal project. The car is great fun to drive and is surprisingly quick, handles well and stops well.

I'm looking for £750.

Cheers

Dom.

Would you take any less for the GTI, it seems a bit high for the mileage.

Paul,

At the moment I'm hanging out for the asking price, I'm not in a great rush to sell it and feel it is well worth the money. The mileage is high but the oil pressure is very high and the engine isn't noisey apart from the lumpy cam.

Cheers

.Full service including cambelt less than 900 miles ago.
.New fast road brake pads fitted less than 1K miles ago.
.Brand new Peco SS back box fitted less than 4 months ago.

It has tax until May 2005 and MOT till 24/06/2005.

Dom

say as above, whereabouts are you?

also do you have any more pictures showing the lacquer peel, also is there any rust coming through, I've been to see a couple of these and all three had rust patches showing through the bodywork.

cheers

I am based in Surrey, near junc. 11 M25 or Chiswick, West London were I work.

I haven't got any more pictures at the moment, there is no rust as far as I'm aware..I'll have a good look later to check..as long as it's not raining.

The paint work is in need of attention, but as far as I'm aware the rest is in sound condition.

Cheers

No new pic's I'm afraid as I keep forgetting the camera, I have checked the car and there is no rust anywere.

I did a 50 mile trip in it this morning and the car drove very well, all the electrics work, the sunroof doesn't leak, the oil pressure is strong and the car doen't half shift along and handles superbly.

The body work on the wings and drivers door does look scruffy but the car is in very sound condition and is certainly not a rust bucket.

Did you sell the 205 in the end? I might be looking for one shortly.
