The New 2005 GSXR-1000

Well, it just goes to show you can never please all the people all the time. I loved the shovel nose featured in MCN and was looking forward to owning one of the first.

The new one is a mess! Its like new and old, the shovel nose, like on the MotoGp bike would have carried the daring looks right through the bike.

Feel kind of deflated, how sad am I lol.

seen next years gixer in mcn yday, i really liked it, apart from that exhaust, but that is easily cured with an aftermarket howler!:)
bet it is still too high for me though being a wee girlie biker struggling to get feet on ground

what are they thinking with that can? It looks ridiculous.... :mad:yeah, it looks like something off a scooter. I reckon that'll get changed by the time its released.

Looking at the high res images on Suzuki's site... It looks like the exhaust is an all in one. So no easy swap there ( unless you want to change the WHOLE system! )

Agree with Mr Leigh, I really really liked the shovel nose concept that was knocking around, and must admit I am dissapointed they didnt follow that through..

Yep - biker for nearly 20 years but at the moment not got anything. GSXR750s throughout the 90s but sold my SRAD to notoriousREV nearly 2 years ago now. Just going back into London in the courier game (office honcho). Not riding anything atm but thinking maybe a DR400 for the odd parcel & for where I live, but I've been thinking about a thou for a while now :D

Fairing = good
Exhaust = bad

Why don't they do the "shorty" pipes, one at each side of the bike, like on the GP machine? I know the road bike's not a V4 but it would look cool :D

same hear , love the scoobs but bikes are my true love, no car can replace the experiance of a bike, performance bike or other

oh, and the gixer thou , dont like the silencer , the welding looks messy ,the design could be better and if you drop the bike the cost would be silly, but performance gains would be simpler.
